The third Wednesday of each month there is a Men’s Coffee at 10 am at the Highland Senior Center, 131 Monroe NE.
For other social and educational opportunities and to confirm monthly events, check out the events calendar.

Training

A SAGE Albuquerque priority is our Aging with Pride Project: Trainings for senior care providers on the unique issues facing LGBT elders. We have a team of Ambassadors who have been trained and are available to offer educational presentations to providers of services to older adults.

If you are a provider and would like to book a presentation, email us at info@sageabq.org.

Support

SAGE Albuquerque has teamed up with Aging Life Care Management to offer an LGBT specific caregiver support group for anyone in our community caring for a loved one with chronic illness or cognitive impairment.

The group meets on the first and third Friday of every month, 11:45 – 1 pm, for a brown bag lunch and conversation at 6121 Indian School Rd NE, Suite 103. For more information, call Deborah Brin at 345-5529 or email us at info@sageabq.org.

The ABQ Journal recently highlighted Aging in the LGBT community.

Our very own, Havens Levitt, responded to article in a poignant letter to the editor. Read the full article here or if you have an Albuquerque Journal subscription, please click here.
